vishal bhardwaj | emraan hashmi Emraan Hashmi was famous for serial kissing! And he is equally famous for not kissing. His latest outing, “Once Upon A Time In Mumbaaiâ€, does not have Emraan locking lips, and that’s getting him as much publicity as the liplocks did.

There comes a time to move on: Emraan
“Yes, I am stuck both ways, whether I kiss or I don’t kiss..
. either ways, I have stopped fighting it.
All this doesn’t even figure in my thought process now. I don’t do films and scenes thinking about this.
I just think of giving something new to my audience.†New – like? “Like “Once Upon.
..
†It’s a gangster film based in the 70s, we have always had gangster films set in 80s and 90s. This one captures the times when the crime scene was evolving.
It’s not a dark gangster film like the others, it celebrates the films and music in the Bachchan era. Very cool!†Emraan says he’s a good boy on the sets, never reaches shoots unprepared and makes sure he gives what the director wants.
“I always do my homework and deliver what the director wants,†he says. So what all homework did you have to do to get into the skin of the gangster? He says, “I have grown up watching a lot of films on gangsters, read books and then there are so many stories on news channels about gangsters.
..
whether in Mumbai or outside it. It’s always there!†Emraan wants to work with Vishal Bhardwaj and Rajkumar Hirani.
“Vishal’s cinema is unconventional and Raju’s is the feel good one!†Out of the lovely ladies he serenaded on screen, he stays in touch with those he made friends with, “We become friends along the way..
. there were some who worked with me and that’s been their first time, they did well after that!†So you are their lucky charm? “No, they are my lucky charm,†he laughs.
Emraan makes sure he plays all characters with great conviction, and when it has come to playing a dad in real life, he is left with nothing but to wake up every morning and remind himself that he is a dad now. “It’s been five months and the feeling has not sunk in yet.
I keep reminding myself, saying ‘Emraan, you are a dad now!’†What’s so unbelievable about becoming a dad? “The fact that you have grown up. There’s this tricky age of 29, 30, 31 – you don’t want it to go and at the same time, you have to let it go.
My friends think they’re still teenagers, I tell them that it’s time now..
. grow up.
In fact, I am the first guy in my gang who took the first step as far as marriage and fatherhood go. What’s done is done.
..
there comes a time to move on,†he says. Amid films, family and other things, reports of his links with David Coleman Headley reared their head.
How did he handle the situation? “The controversy was all fabrication. I even double-checked it with the police commissioner, who supposedly went around giving quotes about my links with the case.
The cop says he never gave quotes to the media,†he says. Where micro-blogging has become a battleground and a medium of communication for many in Bollywood, for Emraan, the idea is not very appealing.
“I am quite erratic with it. I lack the dedication to keep myself on it,†he says
