Yashraj Films reeling under the impact of a series of setbacks in 2007-2008 is all set to make a grand comeback to the bigtime with its latest release Rab Ne Bana De Jodi.

Salman plays the good Samaritan

Salman Khan has taken up a cause of educating underprivileged young girls both in India and Sri Lanka. Through this noble cause, the actor will fund the education of the chosen girls. He has planned to create awareness by doing a couple of shows and campaigns.

When sallu was asked about this initiative, he is quoted as saying, “When you set out to do good, you don’t think which gender you will help or if there was a particular community that you will reach out to.”

Critics compare freida to Madhuri Dixit & Rekha

Slumdog Millionaire fame, Frieda Pinto is flying high these days. Her forthcoming film Miral is all set to release this September.

The Hollywood flick is based on war-torn Jerusalem, where Freida plays the role of an orphan girl who is raised in an orphanage in Jerusalem. She later on starts teaching at refugee camp and falls in love with one of the political activist.

The actress’ spokesperson reveals about the film saying that she had to go through accent training to play this role. The actress ensured she gave her hundred percent to understand the mindset of the trauma-struck 17-year-old Miral.

The entire team was shooting in the crowded streets of Pamplona in Spain, when director Zoya Akhtar suddenly shouted in the dictaphone for the shooting to be halted. Suddenly the noisy festive bustle went quiet and Zoya announced it was Katrina’s birthday. Everyone was asked to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ to Katrina.

Recalling the emotional moment with great pleasure Katrina says, “Suddenly there were 500 people Spanish, Indian and every nationality you can imagine, on this main street of Pamplona singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to me. It was an awesome moment and the best birthday gift I’ve ever had. It was very considerate of Zoya to arrange this surprise for me.”

Failure of Kites pushes Hrithik Roshan back to Krrish 2

Bollywood Gossip:  According to the bollywood industry sources, Producer Rakesh Roshan has taken the failure of Kites very seriously and hence planning to hit back with a sequel of 2006 hit bollywood  film ‘Krrish’ starring his sonHrithik Roshan.

Rakesh Roshan had planned for a sequel of Krrish earlier too but it never materialized. However, the debacle of Kites has made him work on it very seriously to make Hrithik stand tall in the top list again. The earlier plan of Krrish 2 was mainly cancelled due to the extra special effects in Avatar, which was released at the end of 2009.

According to the sources, “Roshans have already started meetings for the sequel of Krrish. They have taken the debacle of Kites very seriously. All the three films Rakesh made with his son Hrithik were big hits so they want to ensure the combination creates history again”.

The father son duo has given three films together till now, which includes Hrithik’s debut movie Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai then Koi Mil Gaya and Krrish. All the three movies were highly appreciated and did a good box office business.

The source added, “After giving those hits, Rakesh wanted to take a break from direction and start producing films. Among all these, Rakesh Om Prakash Mehra was supposed to direct Krrish 2. They conducted several meetings for this but it got dissolved”.

However, whatever be the reason, the audience will get to see their favorite Indian superhero back on the big screen. This time, it is expected to be much entertaining than the first one.

Computer hacker gets Meghna Naidu Pregnant

According to the latest updates, Bollywood Actress Meghna Naidu complained to the Cyber Crime Investigation Cell in Mumbai this week, about a hacker who got her ‘pregnant’. Sounds Funny? But thats the reality




Unknown to the bollywood actress, a hacker had breached her Gmail account a few weeks ago and was chatting away with her friends, falsely claiming that Meghna ‘was pregnant from a fling with a guy whose name she couldn’t remember’ and that she ‘needed advice’. How imaginative it is!

Unfortunately, this impersonator was tracked by Megha Naidu‘s ex-publicist Dale Bhagwagar who felt something fish when the impersonator said hello to the actress.

“PRs specialize in understanding the psyche of their clients. I take special efforts and time to comprehend how each client thinks, feels, behaves and talks.

This person on chat had a subtle devilish sarcasm, and as I know Meghna, she’s cool and clear, but hardly sarcastic,” said the publicist. So immediately after the chat, Dale called her residence to verify if it was Meghna on the chat, and her parents told him, she had gone for her yoga class.

When the actress returned the call an hour later, she was shocked to learn about the conversation. Meghna said, “I was paranoid when I checked my Google chats.

This imposter had been chatting with a lot my friends and claimed I was pregnant out of a fling. To add to this craziness, he wrote, I’d forgotten the name of the guy who made me pregnant. All this bogus talk was insane and scary.”

The publicist calmed the horrified actress and guided her to change her email privacy settings and escorted her to the Crime Branch the next morning. “We complained at the Cyber Crime Investigation Cell. Sadly and strangely, the cops there didn’t seem to be much interested about my case,” lamented Meghna. “I dont know if they would be able to track the hacker” added Megha Naidu.

I don’t think I am interested in Twitter that much,” he told reporters.



The latest star to join the Twitter debate is Bengali bombshell Bipasha Basu who places herself somewhere in the middle by saying that she will join Twitter “SOON!!” “I think the phenomenon of social networking sites is great. I am not on Twitter as of now. But I am getting on Twitter very soon,” Bipasha told reporters at a launch event for Wynncomm Telecom Limited according to The Times of India.



“A lot of people use their phones these days for social networking. But I just call people through my phone. In our kind of business, it is most important to first stay connected with our manager and chartered accountant. And for me, a verbal conversation with them is a must,” the actress continued.

Filmmaker Prakash Jha, buoyed by success of his Bollywood movie Rajneeti, is enamoured with Mahabharat. Yes.. Thats correct!! Prakash Jha seems to have rolled up his sleeves once again for his magnum opus ‘Draupadi’ which seems to be an adaption of the great Indian epic story Mahabharata.




Initially, Prakash Jha planned to cast Madhuri Dixit as the leading role for the hindi version but it didnt work. Now, he plans to do the same but in an English Version while casting the hottest Hollywood Actress Angelina Jolie in his mind.



While speaking to the news agencies a few days back, Prakash Jha commented “‘Draupadi’ is the ultimate tribute to womanhood. I’ve wanted to make it for years. Yes, Madhuri was my choice earlier. According to the latest Bollywood News, Bollywood Actor Imran Khan is now trying to prove his best marketing skills by promoting 2 of his movies at one time.. By mouthing the word ‘Fugly’ several times in I hate Luv Storys, Bollywood Actor Imran Khan has indirectly promoted the title of Kabir Sadanand’s next film, and what do you know… Kabir is not complaining




Director Kabir Sadanand seems to have comically benefited from the film I hate Luv Storys, which is all set to release today.



Apparently, throughout the film, lead actor Imran Khan mouths dialogue that have the word Fugly (f*****g ugly) in them. Fugly happens to be Kabir’s forthcoming film. Kabir had planned an entire marketing strategy around the film and its title, so that a curious audience would interpret the word themselves.



Our source said, “Kabir and Indepth Productions had planned an entire marketing strategy to promote the title of the film. They had even tied up with an electronic media channel to run a contest about the title of the film. And now their entire marketing strategy has gone for a toss. However they are not complaining.”



When contacted, Kabir Sadanand said, “Yes I have just heard that Imran keeps on mouthing the word Fugly right throughout his film. I have not seen the film yet but I guess it’s nice publicity for us. We were going to spend loads of money to establish the title of the film.



But now that’s being done for us free of charge and who better than the youth icon Imran Khan to be doing it! I want I hate Luv Storys to be a huge hit for two reasons; firstly for the film industry which is in doldrums and secondly for the simple fact that the title of my film will be promoted everywhere.”



When asked about the casting of Fugly, Kabir said, “The films starts in August and we will make an official announcement then.

Asin lost a role opposite Ranbir Kapoor

Poor Asin, the South Indian actress who entered Bollywood Movies with a bang opposite Bollywood Superstar Aamir Khan in Ghajini, is now struggling to keep herself afloat here.




Probably her nightmare began with London Dreams opposite Bollywood Actors Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan which flopped badly at the Bollywood Boxoffice. Recently, Asin was dropped from Vipul Shah’s KhaKha KhaKha opposite Bollywood handsome dude John Abraham because according to the filmmakers, her character was similar to the one she played in Ghajini, but insiders said that it was John who didn’t want to romance her, though the actor denied these statements as a mere Bollywood Gossip. Now the actress reportedly has lost out on Anurag Basu’s film Silence starring Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra and that too because she’s not tall enough!



The role had initially gone to Bollywood’s Hottest Actress Katrina Kaif, who according to the Bollywood gossip mongers had turned it down because of Priyanka’s powerful presence in the film. This led to Anurag hunting for a new face for which he also held auditions but couldn’t find the face he was looking for. It’s then that the producers asked him to take Asin, but the director refused to do so because he’s looking for a girl who is more than 5.8 feet tall.



He doesn’t think she’ll fit the role,” said a source. “Now egos are bruised. Anurag, who wants to have his way, has gone ahead and is busy directing shows for a Bengali channel because of which Silence has been kept on hold.”



Though everyone’s maintaining ‘silence’, it’s ultimately Asin who’s lost out on the opportunity of working with the current heartthrob Ranbir. Fortunately for her, Salman Khan, who had taken a liking for her during the making of London Dreams is doing Anees Bazmee’s Ready with her.
